Private Puppy Training - 9-20 weeks old

Private training takes place at your home, or a mutually agreed upon location.

Puppies are sweet, adorable, joyful, and a lot of work. I've raised over 20 puppies, and helped train hundreds - I understand that some days you might experience frustration and defeat! Don’t worry, I can help!  

The most important components to achieving success in training are patience, practice, clarity, consistency, and use of positive reinforcement & rewards.

Your Puppy’s Initial Training Package is 5 appointments

Appointments are weekly for 5 weeks.

First appointment is over zoom, for 30 minutes. We discuss your puppy, goals, equipment, immediate concerns and you’re given 2-3 exercises to work on before the first in-person appointment.

Please have any videos of problem behavior ready to share during the virtual lesson. You are welcome to provide the videos (max 2.5 minutes each behavior) several days before the virtual meeting. If you haven’t video, that’s fine.

  • Welcome to Training package

  • Access to videos of your training sessions (private online folder)

  • Weekly email from you with your concerns and wins for the puppy

  • Mid-week video review  (provided by you & uploaded between in-person appointments if needed) 

  • One weekly email for 30 days after your training package expires.

Lessons may include:

  • Name

  • Sit & Down

  • Touch

  • Trade

  • Leave It

  • Go to Place/Crate

  • Body Handling / Brushing

  • Come When Called

  • Begin Loose Leash Walking

  • Tricks (appropriate for the puppy)

  • Discussions of issues

Initial Puppy Package: $635

Add-on appointments available - please inquire.

All in-person appointments are on the same day/time each week for 4 consecutive weeks.

  • First lesson is a half-hour zoom appointment to get you started, which is followed by the 4-in person appointments.

  • Appointments are captured on video and uploaded for you to review as needed. Videos are available for approximately a month.

  • Handouts are emailed after each appointment. If there is no handout for a particular exercise, please refer to the videos.

  • Fees are not refundable for appointments missed or cancelled by the client.

  • An administrative fee is charged for any appointment that is rescheduled. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.

  • Any in-person appointment may be converted to virtual, at no charge.

  • All appointments are positive reinforcement, using a clicker/marker, and treats.

Your Dog's Health:  

  • Keeping everyone's pup healthy is important to you, other clients, and myself.

  • A negative fecal result is required at the first in-person appointment, or may be provided via emailing me prior to the first meeting a copy of results from the vet.

  • If your dog is ill or has an emergency, you are required to let me know the nature of the illness/emergency, and the next session will be on hold and rescheduled as soon as the dog is healthy and/or has received veterinarian clearance to resume training.  This includes intestinal parasites (roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, giardia and coccidia), Parvo, distemper, vomiting and diarrhea.    A report from your veterinarian is required to resume training.

  • A healthy dog learns better than a dog that doesn’t feel well.
